Hello, I have diagnosed with ulcerative colitis after 5 years, currently taking prednisolone and mesalazine suppositories steroids.
ReplyDeleteThey seem to have a battle of 6 months between the fight against outbreaks have 3 back to back.
Basically nothing is working in my body must be hard to break to one, no, no .... (during the crisis), I eat very simple food only boring, but it is small, can take a break.
Fortunately atm 2 / 3, if not 9 explode / 10 Hope this helps,
Hannah XX
Even if I UC, Crohn's disease, I - I'm sure you know, is very similar.
ReplyDeleteNow I take Humira. I started this drug in a study of one year and a half. Amazing! For some reason, medications that help with rheumatoid rheumatoid help to Crohn's disease (does not seem sure whether this helps or not, ulcerative colitis). I have known last week that approved Humira for Crohn's patients. But in recent years I have found in Sulfasalzine, Imuran, Flagyl, Asacol, Remicade was (others I can not remember), and favorites of course everyone - prednisone.
At this time (I think it is due to) drug, I'm in remission and on most days from 9 clock - 10! However, there is the food that they need to get the gap - nothing spicy pizza. Who sends the stomach does somersaults and so I could plan to stay at home the next day. For some reason, but even in my worst flares I can eat eggs - cooked any way! (Otherwise it would have been in a world of trouble, losing weight, because I a few years ago, but in reality eggshelped to keep my protein!
Regardless of your illness, you would like to be a good place to interact with other people with similar problems. To www.healingwell.com and go to the forum (or community - can not remember what it is), and you will find a variety of diseases. There are tons of people around the world, the UC and Crohn's disease. This site is a blessing for me. You can ask for something and get straight, honest answers from people who were in the same situation.
I hope that helps!
I have had UC for 14 years. I had only 4 flares. Every time I have all the drugs the doc recommends and do not really think it helped me. They were: Rowasa, Canas, Asacol, Colazal, Hyocsamine. My happiness does not have an asthma attack is 8-9 and if you have a fireplace is 0. I never had the food actually cause outbreaks, but some foods seriously irritated my colon, and avoid what does not contribute to an outbreak. They are: slightly acidic foods like tomatoes, citrus fruit / fruit juices, caffeine, coffee, tea, are all that vinegar, sauerkraut and fermented foods painful, beer, wine, liquor, soft drinks causes, and finally, soy or tofu in any form of pain, fatty, fried foods and cheese, are either not very large. This is my personal experience, not everything I read online. Good luck.
